Information on reaching our Cognac Country House

There are two main options to get to our Charente rental. Most peoples' prefered way is to drive so below we have listed driving times from the various ferry ports on the French side of the channel.

Driving to Chasselas

Here are the Channel ferry options, with distances and driving times, to our Cognac rental. The routes selected are the most rapid as given by Via Michelin


St Malo - 407km - 4h21m


Caen - 501km - 4h50m


Le Havre - 577km - 5h18m


Cherbourg - 567km - 5h50m


Calais - 760km - 7h


Whichever crossing you choose you will probably end up on th A10 Paris to Bordeaux autoroute leaving it at St Jean D'Angely, exit 34. Fy-drive holiday to our Cognac Country House

Throughout the summer months you can find budget flights going to Angouleme (40mins), La Rochelle (90mins) and Poitiers (1 3/4H). Hire cars can be collected at these airports. Check out the Ryanair, Easy Jet and FlyBe websites.
